Do people in wheelchairs at Disney get to skip the lines?

In 2005 my family in I went to Disney. My mom got knee surgery that year so we rented a wheelchair for her at the park, we goto skip all the ride lines. Now I got knee surgery too and planing to go to Disney this summer. A lot of people are telling me that now people in wheelchairs must wait in the regular lines. Is this true?
And What about new rides? Like Toy Story Mania or Expedition Everest?

    Actually, it’s yes
Some attractions such as It’s a small world are rides that let you take your wheelchair on the ride. There is a separate line for wheelchairers. so yes you skip lines. (be aware you may actually have to wait for a wheelchair accessible cars.

Others, you still get another line for wheelchairs and skip thrue, but you need to get out of your wheelchair such for, Splash mountain and Kali river rapids

shows such as, the lion king, finding nemo musical, country bear jamboree, and the tiki room, you just wait in line with everyone else. (because you’re usually in a waiting room)

The vast majority of ride queues are intended to accommodate wheelchairs, so you will just wait in the regular lines with everybody else. When they design new rides, they try to make the queues large enough now.

For older rides, you may go to a separate location. But you don’t get to skip ahead of everybody else, anyway. You will still have to wait a while, and you won’t just jump right on. That wouldn’t be fair to everyone else.
