it would be really selfish for a non handicapped to be using one those when there could be someone who is really handicapped and really needs it and the non handicapped person is out joyriding with it

my boyfriend did, there was like 20 motorized carts and my boyfriend pretended to hobble over to one and had the best time ever.

sure no one would stop you, although it would be really mean if someone who needed it couldn’t use it because you were using it.

They aren’t toys or go-carts. Bugger off!

If you have leg problems, yes they’ll allow you to. These carts aren’t just for people who have handicapped placards or who are very obviously disabled. I don’t think any store’s going to say “no” unless you’re clearly just takign it for a joy ride. It doesn’t make you a bad person to ride one if you really do have a leg problem. My wife’s 7 months pregnant. I encourage her to ride them, but she refuses. I’d ride one if my ankle was twisted.
