Mansoor Siddiqi, a Paralympic bronze medal winner became fed up of competing in backward wheelchair racing as she was greatly limited by the wheelchair design. In 1989 she got in touch with Connie Hansen, a well known wheelchair racer and ergo-therapy expert who could help create a wheelchair in which she could use all her power.
