When it comes to disabled access of events for the public, there has been considerable protest for many decades. Those with problems of mobility have been unable to access different levels and buildings that don’t have elevators and consequently were unable to be in attendance during events which should have been readily accessible to the general public. The need to have portable ramps was soon evidenced and even Buckingham Palace found the need to have them installed for the 2004 Paralympics GB team reception. Even so, wheelchair ramps are just one segment of a market which is growing since many industries have found the need for ramps which a portable and more adaptable and consequently more cost-effective.
